Hope Abbey Mausoleum

This picture was taken at the Eugene Masonic Cemetery. The Euphorbia were growing next to the Hope Abbey Mausoleum. The cemetery is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Remarkably, it is also an active, operating cemetery, established in 1859. We were there at dusk on a sunny/rainy evening. It was magical. Seriously....I don't mean that in a Hallmark sort of way. It is a very beautiful place with a lot of history, power and wonderful plants. I never really understood what all the fuss was about regarding Trillium's until I saw them here.
